Done Publishing Music? What’s Next?
After you are done uploading your contents to the digital platforms, what’s next?
Welcome back to Debestinfo.com, your first in best info portal. We published a post recently on “Streaming Platforms: What Artistes Should Know” and we thought that this follow up post should be a good continuation of the right steps that every artiste should consider taking in 2023.
We shall be highlighting what to do next, one after the other. What are you supposed to do, after publishing your contents on digital platforms? Sit back, relax let’s dive in.
1. Promote Your Link on Popular Sites
Some artistes made this huge mistake of believing that their songs will get to their fans, just because they are on digital platforms, but they lied to themselves. They must have misunderstood how it works. The digital platforms don’t do anything else to your songs than uploading them there (as an upcoming artiste). Therefore, you either submit them to their playlists, or better still, promote the digital platform link on popular websites, Facebook Twitter, Instagram and wherever else you’re exposed to.
Just like the Bible preaches, that no one lights up a candle and places it under a table. You have to put it on top, for everyone to see. You must have of course, spent some dollars to push your contents to either distrokid, Trac, Tunecore and many other digital music distribution sites, yet, it’s just the beginning.
2. Run a Social Media Ad
After Uploading your contents to the digital music distribution platforms, consider running an ad for them on either Facebook, Instagram or YouTube. How do you do that? Release a snippet of the single or EP or Album and attach the link to the content on any of the digital platforms. Why is this necessary? It is very important, because, the more people get to stream them, the higher your chances of being paid by the distribution company and you becoming famous.

3. Link Your Social Media Handles
Your increasing fan base wants to interact and engage with you. When they can easily access you via your linked social media accounts, your chances of getting more streams and connection is high. From Audiomack to Spotify, Apple Music, Boom play, Deezer etc, you can link your social media accounts with them, this makes it easier for fans to connect with you.
