Why Davido’s Timeless Album may Win Grammy
Davido who returned to the music scene Months after his son’s death, made a huge return to the top charts with an album title ‘Timeless’. David Adeleke popularly known as Baddest, the 001 as often addressed by his fans all over the world, disappeared from the music scene after the tragic demise of his only son, Ifeanyi Adeleke on 31st October, 2022. The three years old son left so soon leaving all the Nigerian music stars in total shock.
The Timeless Album which is an addition to Davido’s discography of 3 albums, an EP and several singles was much anticipated, since it’s announcement a week to the release date. Being one of the top afrobeat stars in Nigeria and the world at large, the album has a humongous acceptance, couple with the fact that, the hit maker has been off the music scene for close to a year.

“Timeless” is his 4th studio album; a 17 tracks album which arguably contains hit songs from the top to the bottom. It is really a timeless masterpiece released by the OBO himself. Why Davido’s Timeless Album may Win Grammy Nomination
Timeless Album has undoubtedly affirms Davido’s unshakable stand in the music industry, as he makes a biblical allusion of the popular story of David and Goliath in the first track “Over Dem”. “If dem wan turn Goliath, I be David for life… Oluwa dey my side…” explains his deliberate return to the music scene and remains undefeated.
From “In the Garden” featuring Morravey, a newly signed DMW artiste to “E Pain Me”, “Kante” featuring Fave, “U (juju)” featuring Skepta all express full love stories.
